In my profile I have selected the option to copy the NTFS permissions however when I run this and I check the permissions on the destination server, I discover that my original permissions are lost and that the folder is merely inheriting permissions from parent. |

Hi -
assuming you are copying files from \\server1\share1\ to \\server2\share2\
- Do \\server1\share1\ and \\server2\share2\ have the same NTFS permissions?
- Are server1 and server2 part of the same domain?
- Are you getting any warning in the log file or ViceVersa output window? (you can setup a log file in the profile settings)
thanks _________________ --

1.) No Server1 is a mess of permissions. Server 2 is a clean server with no permissions apart from default configured.
2.) Server1 and Server2 are not part of the same domain.
3.) I am not receiving any warnings.
Your assistance is much appreciated.

Hi - VV does not copy permissions between servers belonging to different domains, because users have different SID. _________________ --
