What is the best way to set a time delay before synchronization where the trigger to run is based on file changes being detected.

Scenario
- New File is written in source
- VVengine is set to detect file changes
- Synchronise must only occur [1 minute] after detecting a file change.
Hopefully [time] before running synchronise can be set?

Yes, check "Main VVEngine Settings" in the VVEngine help.

You can set the amount of seconds of inactivity to wait, after the first file change is detected, before VVEngine starts a profile. You can also set the total maximum time to wait in seconds.

For example, the default values are 3 and 10, which means that VVEngine will look for a period of inactivity of 3 seconds before starting a profile, after the first file change is detected, but limited to a total maximum of 10 seconds. If after 10 seconds, there is no period of inactivity of 3 seconds, VVEngine will start the profile anyway.

This is a problem.
The files to be synchronised are created via a database query. Sometimes the query can run for more than 20 seconds. As a result the synchronise starts before the query write has completed.
This results in a conflict.

3 and 10 seconds are the default values, but you can changes them, see help file.

Changing the time delay does not appear to change the actual execution time.

Even if the delay is set to 29seconds (maximum wait time allowed), the profile runs immediately.
