I have now tried ViceVersa and must say that this is so absolutely the best file synchronizer I have tried. Easy to use, extremely fast, and as far as I can see very reliable.
I have a small complaint though. I use Win xp, and should therefore have the foolish Microsoft "Documents & settings" folder. But I rename this unintelligent folder name before windows installation. ViceVersa obviously doesn't use system variables when writing the log, so I am now encumbered with this folder name, just containing the ViceVersa Log file. Tiny problem, but annoying. Perhaps this can be fixed in the next version. Best regards... |

Hi Django, thank you for evaluating ViceVersa.
Which log file are you referring to? What's the name? thank you. _________________ --

I am very sorry about this... My fault. I should have read the log file. This was the log file from my very first run of ViceVersa, which was done with a test profile copied from a friends pc. When I run ViceVersa with a home made profile, the log file is correctly placed (where I chose). Best regards Django |

Thanks, yes, if there's no profile log set, and there are errors, ViceVersa uses a default log, otherwise it uses the log path specified in profile settings -> execution. _________________ --
