Email notification fails on -1073740940 err msg

I had problems last month setting up email notifications. I now have that straightened out. On one of my profiles I set the notification to be sent whether the profile ran successfully or not. That profile started failing a week or so ago, giving an error message of -1073740940. I haven't been receiving email notifications since that started happening.

When I attempt to send a test email for that profile ViceVersa crashes. I am able to send a test email successfully from another profile.

Is there something about a negative error message that causes problems for ViceVersa Pro?

Hi, are the e-mail settings different between the profile that works and the profile that is crashing? thanks

No.

But after opening and viewing the profile that failed, the next day I started receiving the failure notification email messages again.

I guess I just needed to wake the profile up. Wink

No, now the email notification again failed this morning. I didn't really think that opening and viewing the profile could have "fixed" the problem. Even if it did, it isn't a permanent fix, since the profile ran at 3:03 am PT this morning and failed.

I see now looking at the sending email account that a failure notification also was not sent on Wednesday. So, the failure seems to be episodic.

Any suggestions as to how to diagnose?

Hi, the other profile with the same e-mail settings, does that one ever fail?

I had all other profiles set to only send email notifications when the backup failed.

I modified one of those profiles to sent email whether the backup failed or not. When the ran this backup task from VVScheduler it also gave me error message -1073740940. The backup for this profile had run this morning, successfully. I hadn't added any files to the backed up folders so the results should have been the same except that the profile is now set to send an email upon successful completion.

I did get an email failure notification this morning from the original, problem profile. However, when I ran it again this afternoon, I again received the -1073740940 error msg. This time I did not receive the failure email notification email.

thanks, can you send the profile log to support@tgrmn.com please? Is it possible for us to have the e-mail login info to simulate sending an e-mail using the same account from our computers? thanks
