Hi,
I am looking at VV as a method of doing a secondary backup of one of our file servers.
I am backing up the server to a portable hard drive on my laptop, and initially did a MIRROR image. However, users during the course of the day change files on the file server.
The question is, WHICH method of backup would be best to use to backup from server to portable drive, we should NEVER have a situation where files are written to the portable drive by the user or anyone else, so should not be moving files from Portable back to server UNLESS we are doing a restore.
Many thanks

I found "Replication (Update Target" to be best suited for this type of backup.. |

Yes, "Replication (Update Target)" is a good one. Or "Backup (Mirror Source to Target)", the difference being that Backup removes from target files that were deleted in Source, while Replication does not. _________________ --
