Hello,

I think the currently feature "smart archive" keep only the version of the last month.

For the current backup, we have only archive from november.

Do you think, it is possible to add the support of an option to precise the number of month which want to keep the version ?

For example, it is possible to keep a version of a file, every month during 24 months.

Thank you in advance,

Raphael L.

Hi,

When smart archiving is activated, ViceVersa keeps one file version every five minutes for the last hour, one file version every hour during the last day, one file version every day for the last month plus one file version per month. So it should keep at least one file version per month.

Are you using the latest verion 2.5 build 2511? thanks

It is on ViceVersa Pro 2.5 Build 2510

We run this profile every day with the "smart archiving" option, and with "keep max" and "remove archive copies older" at 0.

We create the task in august,

We haven't file deleted or modified in october for example.

But, we have also a task, which have not the "smart archiving" options, with keep max 1 version of the file and max 15 days, but with the option "append source/target path".

The two tasks have the same "archive folders". Do you think the second task delete file from the first ?

In this case, we need to archiving in a different folder for each task.

Thank you in advance,

Hi, yes, it looks like the two profiles are interfering; in this case I think it would be better not have them sharing the archive folder.
