On Nov 12, 2012 I was able to set up email notification using an account offered by my DSL provider. I haven't had any errors until yesterday when I received this message:
2012-11-23 03:00:26 : [ERROR] Target: folder "O:\_z_T_Photos_O\" not found. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
2012-11-23 03:00:26 : Exit Code: 14. Target folder not found. [ERROR]
2012-11-23 03:00:26 : Sending E-Mail ...
2012-11-23 03:00:26 : Connecting to SMTP server: mail.sonic.net, port: 25, user: '' ...
2012-11-23 03:00:29 : [ERROR] The address is not valid.
Today there also is an error message about access to the target folder. I'll take care of that as a separate issue. However, an error email notification wasn't sent out. I received the following message:
2012-11-24 03:02:06 : Connecting to SMTP server: mail.sonic.net, port: 25, user: '' ...
2012-11-24 03:02:06 : Sending E-Mail to: nmadson@sonic.net, from: nmadson@sonic.net ...
2012-11-24 03:02:07 : Done.
2012-11-24 03:02:07 : [ERROR] The RCPT command failed. The specified account does not exsist. - 550 5.7.1 <nmadson@sonic.net>... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required.
2012-11-24 03:02:07 : Exit Code: 2. Execution not completed. [ERROR]
Now, when I try testing sending emails for all of the profiles I have set up, I get the same error message. I haven't changed anything on these profiles since 11/12/12, nor have I changed anything with my DSL provider's email account.
Any idea what ViceVersa might be doing that has changed its behaviour in the past couple of weeks?
Thanks,
Nolan |

Hello,
maybe something was changed by your DSL provider. Did you already try entering the info under "Authenticate with POP3 server before sending E-Mail" ? It's in the e-mail settings. Certain mail servers require POP3 authentication before an e-mail can be sent.

It appears as though one must first select "Authenticate using Name and Password" before you can select "Authenticate with POP3 server before sending E-Mail". I entered my DSL provider's email name and password and then selected the POP3 option. I get the message "The password was invalid. -535 7.7.0 authentication failed.
Any other ideas?

I checked with my DSL provider. They didn't say that anything had changed in their email system.
Here are the settings they suggest:
POP3 Incoming Mail server settings:
Hostname: pop.sonic.net
port: 995
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) enabled.
Authentication: 'Login' or 'Password'
--> Type in the Sonic.net username and password
Outgoing mail server settings:
Host name: mail.sonic.net
Port: 465 or 587
SSL enabled.
Authentication: 'Login' or 'Password'
--> Type in the Sonic.net username and password
With either outgoing port 465 or 587 I get a message that "Connection Timed Out".
When I use only the outgoing mail server settings ViceVersa Pro crashes.

I've created a test email account viceversa_test@sonic.net. I'll send the password via email to TGRMN Software <mail@tgrmn.com>.

It worked using these settings:
- Send notification e-mail after execution to info@tgrmn.com from viceversa_test@sonic.net. Use SMTP server mail.sonic.net on port 587 (Send e-mail on execution error)
- Authenticate using name and password. User name: viceversa_test@sonic.net, password: ****
- Use Secure Connection (SSL/TLS)
Basically I filled all the e-mail settings fields excluding Authenticate with POP3 server before sending E-Mail. I left Authenticate with POP3 server before sending E-Mail disabled. _________________ --

"After execution" isn't an option. The only options on my copy of ViceVersa are "On execution error" or "On execution success".
I checked both of them (which I don't want to do; I only want to know if there's a problem.)
I tried sending a test email.
ViceVersa Pro crashed. I didn't receive the test email.
Is there some way we can set a trace to see what's happening on my PC when I attempt this configuration on ViceVersa Pro?

I've done as you requested. See support@tgrmn.com
I also tried testing the email name and password I gave you. That test email failed as well.

Thanks, "Port" should be set to 465 or 587 , try user name lower case and also maybe try a different e-mail to address. thanks _________________ --

I had tested using port 587 but I guess I didn't do the screen cap after I'd done that.
The lower case suggestion, tho worked! Who knew it could be something so simple.
Thanks for sticking with me in trying to resolve this issue.
