ViceVersa seems to skip mirroring all files in C:\Windows directory and below to Target. Is this by design?
Also, I don't see any reference to Volume Shadow Copy creation in Build 2511. Does this have to be turned ON?
And, if turned ON, would it then copy all the files in C:\Windows?
I'm running Windows 7. |

Some files in the Windows folder can't be read if you are not running ViceVersa as Administrator. Could that be the problem? Volume Shadow copies must be activated in profile settings -> advanced settings. When Volume Shadow copies are activated and are working OK there's no file that can't be copied (some software may disable creation of Shadow Copies, such as TrueCrypt to protect files). thanks _________________ --

With "Volume Shadow Copy" turned ON in Profile, I am getting an error message that says -
"Volume Shadow Copy creation failed: E_UNEXPECTED"
I am running VV as account "Gordon" with Administrator priviledges.
As a result, VV will not backup over 120,000 files.
This has been a problem for years now. Totally disgusted. |

Hi, right-click on the ViceVersa icon and select "Run as Administrator", then try to run the profile with shadow copies activated. thanks _________________ --
