Almost every time I get the warning "some files newer in target". I do not understand how this is possible. Source is hard drive of pc. Target is external drive whose files are never changed except by vice versa pro.

Whey does it happen?

Hello,

most probably it's a timestamp issue for files copied to target. What version / build of ViceVersa are you using? What type of drive is the target?

thanks

It would help if this error would include the name(s) and location(s) of at least one such file. The example could illuminate the reason for the error and, over time, would allow fixing the problem without requiring a needle-in-haystack search for the troublesome files. The files are not named in the log, even when in details mode.

Hi, the files can be found by opening the profile in ViceVersa and click on the compare button. Then in the side by side comparison window you can see which files are newer in target. thanks

That's a good deal with a reservation... big comparisons take a while to execute. Then, the result has to be browsed. The log is static and can be quickly scanned for, perhaps, red text as for other logged warnings.
