I would like to include only .tgz and .txt files from only subfolders with "AB" in a given source drive and not include other subfolders with the same type of files in it. How do I make it so only subfolders named AB is included in priority first in determining what gets transferred over to the target drive?
The reason being is that I have other subfolders such as "CDE" or "CDE_" with .txt files in it and I do not want to include them.
My setup right now is this way:
File Filters
Exclude>*.*>
Include>*.TGZ>
Include>*.TXT>
Subfolder Filters
Exclude>*.*>
Include>MX> |

Hi, you could add a subfolder filter to include AB only and then use file filters to include the two extensions. _________________ --

Hi, sorry the Include>MX> is really supposed to be Include>AB>.
Anyways, I have this fine tuned. Here is an issue with my file / folder filters setup. When I delete the contents of a folder and so no subfolder exists anymore within the folder, including the folder itself, the folder does not delete off the target drives, only all the contents within it. Leaving just an empty folder. Is there a way to sync it with the existing source drive and remove all the folders from the target that do not exist on the source drive anymore?
Better yet, is there a way to remove ALL empty folders from all drives?
Updated filter setup
File Filters
Exclude>*.*>
Include>*.TGZ>
Include>*.TXT>
Subfolder Filters
Include>AB>
Exclude>*.*> |

Hello,
Please let me know if you need anymore information to troubleshoot and provide a resolution for this issue.
To explain in more detail:
With the way I have my filter setup, when a folder is completely deleted off of the source drive, it does not get deleted with the target drive; only the contents of the parent folder gets deleted in the target leaving no subfolders, only a empty parent folder.
I have build 2509 of ViceVersa Premium server edition. |

Do you mean this in the subfolder filter - Exclude>*.*> ?
I thought this applies only to the subfolder. Please advise. There are quite a few empty folders on both source and targets, I'd like to remove all of them. |

Sorry I was not clear - I need to remove the actual parent folders that have no folders in them. In other words "empty folders." |

Hi, can you please send a screenshot of the ViceVersa comparison window showing the folder that is not deleted but should be deleted? Please send the screenshot to support @ tgrmn.com , I think it will help us understanding the problem, thanks! _________________ --

After running the comparison - it showed that the empty parent folders are being excluded from the result. Not sure how to work around this.
I will be sending in the email shortly, thank you. |

I received a bounce on that email right away as well. Are you blocking emails with attachments?
