I have been successfully using VVPlus for many years without any problems to back up all my data to an external hard drive. Yesterday I did a lot of housekeeping on my data files, deleting many and moving others around to more logical homes. When I had completed this task VV would no longer work. Every time I attempt to run it it falls over during the first stage of reading the source files displaying the following warning:

Error while reading Source information.

I have run a full CHKDSK on my source drive and found no errors at all. My worry is that I may have corrupted a file somewhere during my housekeeping and that is what VV is objecting to, but there is no way of knowing. There are way too many files to check manually.

I have downloaded a trial version of VVPro and it works without a hitch so what is the problem with VVPlus? I am reluctant to fork out extra money to solve a problem that ought not to be happening. Any suggestions as to what is causing the problem and how I can fix it would be gratefully received.
