|
|
For two or more Windows 2003/2008 servers involved in replication/synchronization, etc, I see a requirement for licenses for all participating servers.
This is different that it used to be, in that it used to be that the only server requiring a license is the one where ViceVersa software was actually installed.
Am I correct to assume that my previous purchases of VV version 2.0 are grandfathered in and that the new pricing model only pertains to new purchases of 2.5?
Does this also mean that when I upgrade my current servers to 2.5, I can buy an upgrade license, but I will also have to purchase new licenses for other participating servers that previously were not required to be licensed?
Also, does this same new model pertain to VVEngine 2.x, vs the previous 1.1 version?
Thanks. |

Hi, the new licensing model only applies to version 2.5 ; if you upgrade, yes, you'll need one license per server; however the upgrade licenses will be available at discounted upgrade price. VVEngine is still licensed per installation. thanks _________________ --
