I have been using VV for a few years now. A few weeks ago I began to have an issue.

The problem: I am running a profile. The comparison completes. While trying to generate the next window, the program crashes. If I execute by either a batch command or by vvlauncher, the program runs correctly.

I have uninstalled / reinstalled the software. Everything runs correctly until after the next reboot. If I want to proof the file copies/deletions that are going to occur with a profile, right now I have to do the uninstall / reinstall.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks, you should have two files in the ViceVersa installation folder:

viceversa.dmp
and
viceversa.rpt

Could you send those two files to support @ tgrmn.com for analysis?
The files contain crash information.

thanks

thanks, from the crash files it looks like ViceVersa is crashing after trying to get a Windows Font handle to draw the dialog. Has his always happened? Did you install any "display" related software or hardware recently?
thanks

After using the program without any problems for several years, this has been happening only for about the last few weeks.

1. I've been using "Perfect Registry" by Raxco Software since February.
2. I've reinstalled AutoCad 2007 after it stopped working correctly about 3 weeks ago.
3. 5-28-2012 I installed a more current video driver, NVIDIA Graphics Driver 301.42.
4. Installed new ram cards, raising ram from 2 GB to 4 GB.

The interesting thing is that if I uninstall ViceVersaPro, then reinstall it, it will work correctly for a handful of times. Sometimes waiting until after the next reboot to crash. Sometimes working 4 or 5 times after the install before beginning to crash (w/o the first reboot after install).

Hi, it looks like the Operative System you are working with became "unstable".... maybe a memory issue? Some other software causing problems? Or a virus? I am saying this, because this error was never seen/reported before and it is intermittent... sorry I can't be more helpful! Sad
