Hello,
I'm looking at ViceVersa as a replacement for Ghost backup, and also to setup drive mirroring on an XP system. In the event of a drive failure, can this product be run from a boot disk to do a full restore to a replacement drive, such as can be done with Ghost?
In other words, we currently do a full drive backup (drive image) to an external drive. If the main hard drive fails, I can just boot from the Ghost CD and run the restore process to re-image the replacement drive.
Thanks,

Hello,
Thank you for evaluating ViceVersa. While ViceVersa will copy the entire drive, file by file, to a separate location, it will not make the target bootable nor restorable directly. In case of a failure the OS must be re-installed, however you will have a copy of every single file.
thanks _________________ --
