Hi, I'm testing viveversa pro x64 in fresh Windows 2008 R2 and received "VSS writer listing failed. E_UNEXPECTED".
Command VSS admin list writers work fine and no error.

Is the computer name.
Yes, in Advanced Settings, "Use Volume Shadow copy..." is marked.
Without source, in Menu View - VSS Writers List give me error:
VSS writer listing failed. E_UNEXPECTED
Output window:
Gathering writer metadata...
(Waiting for the asynchronous operation to finish...)
Initializing writer metadata...
ERROR: Win32 call "GetVolumeNameForVolumeMountPointW((LPCWSTR)volumeRootPath.c_str(), WString2Buffer(volumeName), (DWORD)volumeName.length())" failed.
- GetLastError() == 1
- Error text: Incorrect function.
Volume name not found for volume mount point: \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolume1\

I tried with 32 bit version viceversa but same error.

My problem was that server has EFI partition.
New program version resolves the problem.
