I have been using VVEngine for over 4 years now and we have one occurring problem that happens from time to time. For some reason some of our schedule profiles in VVEngine does not detect a file change on a local drive. This happen a lot with VVEngine 1.1 and we have had it happen several times already with VVEngine 2.0 (Build 2002).

Just this past weekend I had some schedule profiles on VVEngine 2.0, One on a Windows 2008 R2 Server and one a Windows 2003 R2 server, did not detect files changes. One only has 1 or 2 file changes that were not detected and the other had several files get change and neither one of them replicated while other schedule profile jobs continued to replication.

Each time this happens, I have had to restart VVEngine to get the schedule profile to detect the file changes. This doesn’t happen often, usually about once every couple of months under VVEngine 2.0 (Build 2002).

Upgrading to version 2.1 is out of the question since there was a license change and we have more then 5 schedule profiles, forcing us to upgrade to premium.

Thank you! So you mean that VVEngine stops detecting ALL changes from a certain point on, or it just misses some of the changes and after that gap, further changes are detected again? thank you

VVEngine completely stops detecting changes and will not replicate file changes.

-I have had it where all profiles scheduled in VVEngine does not detect or replicate changes
-I have had it where some profiles schedule in VVEngine does not detect or replicate changes.

In some cases I have been able to disable the profile and re-enable and that worked to get the profile schedule in VVEngine to detect and replicate changes.

However, that has not always been successful and I have had to restart VVEngine to get the schedule profiles to detect and replicate changes.

One other thing to note, if I run the profile schedule in VVEngine manually it will replicate the changes, but it still will not detect new changes until I restart the VVEngine services.

In all cases, VVEngine is running as a Windows Service.

Also keep in mine that this does not happen frequently. I had it where I have had no issues for months to where it has done this every month or every couple of months.

Hi, the premium version of VVEngine 2.1 addresses this issue with the new 'file level' or 'subfolder level' monitoring, which implements improved monitoring functionality.

I recently installed VVEngine v2.1 Server Premium (Build 2102) and experienced this issue. VVEngine stopped detecting changes and I had to actually delete the profile and recreate it to get it to detect changes again.

I have just discovered that my copy of VVEngine, running as a service, has started doing the same thing described above. It appears to have stopped replicating on July 9th. I have five profiles and none of them detect changes. I had to restart the service to get it to redetect. I am on v2.1 Server Premium (Build 2102) running on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit. Thanks.

Hi,

Are you using the new 'file level' or 'subfolder level' monitoring?
Are you monitoring local folders or folders over the network?

thanks
