Hello!

I have two servers I'm syncing (one is a NAS box and the other is a new Windows 2008 storage server) using Visa Versa pro. I'm syncing once per day at 11:00pm I like it very much except it doesn't allow for mapped drives only unc paths. Net use gives error 87 permissions problems, but manually mapping a drive by right clicking my computer works from any server works. I can also create a new folder that is not being synced by the sync tool and net use works. I've checked permissons and shares and pretty much opened everything up to domain users to test and no change.

My question is how can I get a very simple logon script to map the drives I need by unc path? Either vb or .bat is ok. I have a lot of xp users so GP would need client side extensions i'm guessing so i'd like to not have to push those.

I'm pretty novice to scripts so i'm looking for like two lines .bat in the sysvol folder. Only 30 users. Please help?!

If there is a Visa Versa setting or change i'm missing, that will help as well. The system account is the domain Admin, not local system.

do i need the vss add on?

thanks!

Hi,

are you running ViceVersa on the clients to sync vs the server? Are you using VVScheduler, VVLauncher or VVEngine to run the profiles?

thanks
