|
|
Hello - we've been using VV for several years and have recently moved the physical box to a VMware host and that's where our troubles began.
Sometimes it works for several days, but most times the host becomes completely unresponsive and we need to power cycle the VM guest completely to get it working. We have migrated the profiles to a new VM and it does the same there as well - totally seperate ESX host and OS.
We're using VVengine as well and we do bi-directional replication between one deployment server and about 5 Windows 2008 boxes. All are 32bit.
Has anyone had this type of issue? We've tried changing up the profiles 100 times to solve and are getting nowhere. Is this setup not supported? It's become almost a daily event.
Additional Info:
Sometimes the VVengine web interface locks up when clicking any actions and displays "Unable to connect to VVengine..." Only fix is a VM power off and on again. Another thing we notice in the web interface are profiles sometimes do not complete and we see they are running for over a day - guess what fixes it
We are running VVengine 2.0 build 2002. With Vise Versa Pro 2.5 build 2502.
Any suggestions from the forum?
Thanks!!

Hello,
Is ViceVersa copying many files?
Are these large files or small files in size?
Maybe try to slow down ViceVersa with bandwidth limit, does that help?
Try using VVEngine 2.1 and the latest ViceVersa PRO 2.5, the upgrade is free, you can reuse your license code.

There are many small files - over 10,000 in our web app.
I'll try upgrading and then work on treaking. I kind of figured the latest version might help.
I'll let you know if I make any progress. Thanks!

A new option that may be useful in this case is the "unbuffered file copy" in profile settings -> performance, more info in the help file. thanks _________________ --
