hey I am having a problem that started about 2 days ago.
I don't know what could have caused it but I am unable to fix it.
the problem:
during comparison stage, I get the following error
G is external drive, the target.
G:\a\b\c\d\e\text\*.* : the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
So what i did was go that location on the target and remove text file from the drive, so when comparing again it will just copy over the source again.
the problem is that it continues to happen
i get the same error, even though the file it says is corrupted and unreadable no longer exist.
I know the source is perfect, since i am running the same back up on 2 different drives.
I would like to know if there is a work around, fix, or if the external drive is messed up, and needs to be reformat
UPDATE #1. went into cmd, and was able to cd myself into the location of those "invisible" locations
and thats when the computer gave me a pop up to run CHKDSK . so am currently running that. will update and close if it resolves.
UPDATE 2:
after running the CHKDSK or error check via GUI of windows
I was able to compare the 2 folders and it has been able to successfully compare and run the augment to target.
so this has been fixed and it was a non vice versa issue
