The option "sending files to the recycle bin wen deleting" is located in the global preferences of Vice Versa Pro (main menu -> view -> preferences). IMO it should be possible to decide for every profile whether this behaviour should be enabled or not - not only as a global option.

Could you extend the profile options with this functionality instead of offering this option only globally?

This would be a real improvement of VV, because I am sure that I am not the only one who forgets to activate/deactivate this (hidden) option from time to time!

Yes, I think that would be better. But in the latest build 2506, the option to send files to the recycle bin is set to no by default, because the recycle bin is very very slow and should be rarely used. Instead we recommend to use the archive functionality in ViceVersa, profile settings -> archiving which is a lot more powerful and versatile.

I hesitated to update to build 2504ff until now because I have to recreate all my scheduler tasks...
An update tool for those tasks would have been great.

Sorry about that, it's going to be a one time issue, after build 2504 it is no longer needed.
