I backup (Mirror source to target) my file server to a laptop computer using ViceVersa Pro. The area on the laptop the data is backup up to is a removable disk with it's own drive letter Occasionally I use the data on the laptop and recently forgot to backup this data before I sync the server to this laptop with the changed file and it was deleted by the software.... I have tried all the free software recommend by vice Versa and none of it could see this file the software deleted before copying the data from the server to the laptop.... I would very much appreciate anyone's thoughts and if there is a quality file recovery software program available-free or pay that would assist me in recovering this file.. thank you all... Phil |

Hi,
Maybe try "File Scavenger": it's been around for a long time (not free).
Suggestion for the next time: enable archiving in the ViceVersa profile, so files instead of being deleted are sent to an archive folder.
I hope you can recover your accidentally deleted files Good luck. _________________ --
