VV is the only backup I trust for "trickle" backups. This is also the ideal type of function where ftp is concerned due to bandwidth constraints where the goal is to trickle up as little data as possible. Is there any possibility that ftp function could be added? |

This is our next major feature which has been requested numerous times ... we plan to support SFTP (simple FTP does not support file timestamps which we think are a must) thanks _________________ --

But FTP is more commonly used, and many devices support only FTP ...
Also, in general timestamps ARE available in some form with FTP
Many FTP servers support the "MDTM" (Modification Time) extension
which provides an exact modification timestamp.
tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3659#page-9
Also while the file listing format is not mandated by the FTP standard, many FTP servers do list modification times; usually in a different format for files modified during the current year. |

Thanks a lot, best regards.
