VVPro 2.5 64-Bit Build 2504, Windows Server 2008. When using VVPro, memory usage climbs until the machine ceases to respond. Machine has 4GB, 3BG is available to VVPro at beginning of comparison. Issue occurs both during deletion and copy.

**Edit***

FWIW, running minimem: (download.cnet.com/Minimem/3000-2094_4-10871370.htm) to regulate VVPro's memory usage addresses the issue and does not affect VVPro's performance. Also, please note that during deletes, VVPro uses 100% of both cores on the processor.

Hi,

ViceVersa does not have memory leaks, how many files are you handling in a single profile? See: http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item106.htm if your server is showing memory usage issues.

Re: during deletes, VVPro uses 100% of both cores on the processor, this is most probably caused by sending files to the recycle bin. You can disable that option in the view menu -> preferences

thanks

What is the impact of removing the option of sending using recycle bin while deleting?

Disabling the recycle bin means that when a file is deleted is not moved to the recycle bin, it is deleted from disk.
Another option is File Archiving in the profile settings. That acts like a recycle bin, but it is more sophisticated: files are moved to the archive when deleted, and a certain amount of them can be kept for a certain period of time.
