|
|
I'm in the process of evaluating VVPro - I've set up a couple of folders to be backed up and have turned on the archive feature (w/ full filenames to be prepended to the archive files). I'm looking in the archive destination and there are no files visible, yet I can find them in the Archive Viewer and even restore them from the Viewer.
What's happening? I'm quite certain that my archive destination is set correctly...
Thanks.

Think we found the cause of this issue.
Are you using the flag "Append Source / Target Path to archive folder(s)" in your profile ? If yes, check the first base directory in the archive folder, normally that is a drive letter such as "C" or "D" or "X" etc. ViceVersa makes that a hidden and system folder. That is causing the issue. Windows Explorer basic configuration does not show hidden / system file/folders unless instructed to.
We are fixing this in the new VV build. _________________ --

Your diagnosis is dead-on - I AM using the full path option and making hidden/system files viewable showed my missing files. Thanks for keeping on this and keep up the great work!
