I have a question about the log results I am getting for this profile. The short version is, that even though the files are indeed copied from the source to all destinations, the log file shows that there are not any files to copy, and that nothing was done?

edit: I should have noted that this profile is being launched by VVLauncher
whenever file changes are detected in the source...
Code:
2011-12-15 13:11:09 : - Status Summary -

2011-12-15 13:11:09 : [INFO] No files/folders need to be copied/deleted.
2011-12-15 13:11:09 : ---- End ----

And while I'm glad that I can manually see that everything appears to be working, I would really like the log to actually tell me what files were copied, which files were skipped (and why)... Looking at other logs posted here in the forums, I see all of that info, but have never seen it in this log. (I'll admit, I have not tested a log on a different profile yet... If I need to for troubleshooting, it's not a problem at all.)

Thanks!

I think I may have answered my own question, though it brings up another... After enableing email alerts on errors, I got the following:
Code:
File Copy Errors:
Copying file E:\News to Air\MUN12151.mPG <to> \\10.0.0.85\Playback\MUN12151.mPG  (485.49MB)  [Can not open "E:\News to Air\MUN12151.mPG". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.] [ERROR].

Some tweaks in the settings seem to have that issue resolved, but now begs the question of why I wasn't seeing those errors while looking at the log to begin with... (Opening log from VVLauncher, clicking on "View Log" button"...

However, with my new settings, I do see the files that were copied listed in the log from a "successful" run.

Hi, re post 1, I think the Replication (update) method would not copy any file in that situation.

Re post 2, do you have a limit to the log file size and the log is truncated? That info (file copy errors) are definitely listed in the profile log

thanks
