~vv1.tmp appears in folder after mirroring seems to interfere with process.
Mirrored 170 jpg image files.
11 showed in results double window as not being copied.
Selected and clicked black triangle.
Access denied.
Looked in Target folder to see the images were copied to the folder and ~vv1.tmp file appears.
Deleted ~vv1.tmp.
Tried again to copy.
Access denied.
Deleted ~vv1.tmp and 11 files.
Watched as VV mirrored. Files copied to folder.
Results VV double windows shows 11 files NOT MIRRORED.
Clicked files and black triangle.
Access denied AND ~vv1.tmp put in folder.

How can this issue be resolved?
Thanks

Ran another profile problem that may be similar or related.
VV shows numerous ** conflicts and 376 hours estimated time to complete, down from 458 hours.
Do you want me to post the output data that is quite large? Can not see that the output txt file can be attached.
Two file types that are exceedingly slow to process are small .png files and small 6kb files like AdobeCameraRaw6.0All-x64-160911143812.boot.xml.
Since png is an image file, this situation may be relevant. No log file that I can find, I suspect because I cancelled the process after more than an hour.
The source Os is Win7, the target OS is Vista. When VV synchs this profile Win7 to Win7 laptop, execution is quick.
VV regularly processes 9+gb document files between Vista-Win7 that synch in less that 30 seconds.

Any ideas?
thank you

Solved ~vv1.tmp issue. File SECURITY permissions seems the issue.
I can not discover how some image files "acquire" limited security permissions, but that seems to be the ~vv1.tmp issue.

The following procedures seem to solve the problem.
When VV sets ~vv1.tmp in a folder, that indicates a file permission issue with the particular file showing in the VV profile execution window.

Security permissions must be verified for each file shown and given FULL CONTROL.

Another factor to check is inherited permissions of parent.
right click on folder
select properties
Group or user names: edit each
then check and edit Permissions for each of the names

click Advanced
parent file is object name
Permission entries shows Inherited From.
For any <not inherited> lines click Edit
then check box: Replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with inheritable permissions from this object.
click OK
do this for every <not inherited> line

After clicking OK, the change is processed. The path of any files that can not "inherit permissions" will be shown.
Keep popup open
use file manager to access the problem file, click Properties
click Edit to confirm FULL CONTROL for each file
then click ADVANCED to confirm Permissions
if Permissions inadequate,
Click Edit

repeat the process
check box: Replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with inheritable permissions from this object.
click OK

if all is well, the process completes not showing any problem file paths.

Hi, if needed, there's an option not to use a temp file when copying files (as ViceVersa does by default) the option is in profile settings -> advanced settings. thanks

Thank you for this option. Will make note in VV folder.
Because the files involved in the problem were not visible in Source file manager, but were actually in the Target folder, the default temp setting is preferred. It alerts to a problem with the files that need setting corrections to enable Source to have the required "full control" of Target files.
