I am having difficulties connecting to a web-based server. All I want to do with a specific profile is to connect to send a specific file to the server whenever this file is observed to change.
(sidlawweather.co.uk is my website to which I wish to send the file)
I use the following code:
//sidlawweather.co.uk/home/filename as target on the Compare page. Then I hit Change Profile Settings and then Network. I do not know what to enter under path. I have tried numerous combinations like //sidlawweather.co.uk/home/ and they don't work when I press Test Connection. I obviously know what to enter under User and Password.
I keep getting ERROR:Access is denied using the credentials entered.
What am I doing wrong? |

So far as I know, the answer is no. I had to look up VPN on the internet to find out what it meant.
For the record, my PC uses XP professional. I simply want to use VVPro to move the file to the database whenever it changes on the PC.
Thanks. |

I am disappointed that no reply is forthcoming after more than 30 hours.
I an using VVPRO very successfully to keep a constant back-up of various files. I understood that it was capable of sending data over the internet.
Perhaps it can't do that, but your help files don't indicate whether it can do it or not. I'm not particularly impressed by the help files and I've searched the forum to find someone who has had difficulties similar to mine but without success. |

Sorry for delayed reply.
To work over the Internet, ViceVersa needs a VPN tunnel to be available. It does not support yet FTP or SFTP. SFTP is something we want to add, as it has been requested by many customers in the past. thank you _________________ --
