I have just downloaded the demo version of VV Plus, and I intend to use it with a Seagate Freeagent Goflex drive connected to my desktop via USB. The drive came with its own software. It worked all right, but it immediately conflicted with my OS (Windows XP).
I'd now like to use the same drive with VV Plus to do routine backups of all of my data files (i.e., non-program, non-system files), including text, emails, photos, etc. To make a clean start I'm thinking of reformatting the Seagate drive to get rid of the bundled software (I've already deleted it from my desktop) and then starting the process of selecting sources and targets in VV Plus. Does this make sense?
Needless to say, my question indicates a low level of expertise compared to the FAQ's I've been reading, so I'd appreciate advice based on that assumption.[/b] |
