When using vvengine to execute a profile I get this error in the logs:

Exit Code: 4. Execution canceled by user. [ERROR]

The run up to this error shows this:

2011-11-07 21:03:14 : Checking source D:\SourceFiles\ ...
2011-11-07 21:03:14 : Total found: 0
2011-11-07 21:03:14 : Aborted.
2011-11-07 21:03:14 : Exit Code: 4. Execution canceled by user. [ERROR]

I notice that this only happens if there is an error in resolving a destination to write the files to (basically VV fails to ping a server). What I don't understand is that I have the "Continue even if some source/target folders are inaccessible" option ticked.

Is there another setting I should have enabled or is this a bug?

I don't get this error if I run the profile through VV, only vvengine.

We've solved this issue. It was Window Firewall doing thing it isn't supposed to do. Like turning itself on after I turned it off. Go figure... Thanks for the swift replies anyway!

1) I have plugged in an external hard disk
2) VV detected the disk and performed a full resync successfully
3) Within a few seconds VV detected a change (why? apparently nothing changed)
4) An error was issued:
Code:
Yesterday at 10:32:11 until 10:32:14 (3 sec) - (Source/Target Accessible) - Execution canceled by user. More Info...

The log doesn't contain data for this event:

Code:
C:\Temp\log1.log

Extract of File: C:\Temp\log1.log
Information about this profile run was not found in the log file.
Sometimes the log file does not contain information about a profile run.
For example, if you recently reset the log file or you set a limit to the log file size or the log file is getting too large.

There are no traces in the log. I won't be able to help any further on as my trial ended, so I am closing it here.
Thanks Smile
