Hi there,

I have a problem with Vice Versa. I need to backup my files between one computer on a Windows XP operating system to another computer in my household which is on a Windows 7 operating system. I have Vice Versa installed on the Windows 7 computer.

I open Vice Versa from my Windows 7 machine and set the source to be the required folder on the Windows XP machine which I have mapped as drive Z. I then make an empty folder on my Windows 7 machine and set this to be the target folder. I then ask VV to do its magic.

However, this is where it fails. It will only find the files from the source folder that are not within subfolders. I need it to find these subfolders and all subsequent files in these subfolders and copy them across as well.

It works fine copying folders, subfolders and files from one location on my local machine to another location on my local machine, but fails when working across the network between two different operating systems (buying another copy of Windows 7 isn't really an option as Bill Gates' greed has priced it at a ridiculous £70+ per copy).

Thank you for any help,
Joe

hello,

make sure the option "include subfolders" in profile settings ->folders is selected, that could be why subfolders are not included

thanks
