I have synchronization on VV using a dedicated VPN between source and target.
At some point in the past week that VPN went down. I discovered that many directories on the source were cleared of files as if VV had detected deletions on the target on the other side of the vpn in the same directories. However there was no deletion of those directories on the target. VV just couldn't see the files when the VPN was disrupted.
If a VPN connection failed between source and target when using VV, would this cause VV to delete files on the source?
Thanks,

Hi, when a connection is not available during scanning ViceVersa will error out and stop the scanning. You can test this yourself by shutting down a connection during ViceVersa execution. What VPN package are you using? Because it looks like instead of reporting error "connection not available" in this case, the VPN tunnel reported "files are not there". thanks _________________ --

I am using the SonicWall Global VPN Client.
