I set up a new profile using Backup execution method with archiving enabled. On first execution everything backs up fine. On second execution all target files are deleted, moved to archive folder, and renamed with _DEL_T.
Can you tell me what I'm missing? |

Hello, it could be a mismatch of file timestamps. Which version / build of Viceversa PRO are you using? Does it look like all files are moved from the target to the archive and then copied again from the source? thanks _________________ --

I have been using your software very successfully for several years and have never had problems until a month ago when this started to happen. I was running the same profile I've been running for close to a year and it started doing this.
I was using PRO 2 Build 2015 64-bit when it started to happen. I reformatted my external driver (target) and ran the profile and backup completed ok, but next time I ran it it started deleting files.
I thought maybe it was time for an upgrade so I purchased version pro 2.5 build 2504. Started over again, reformatted ext. drive (target), set up new profile and the same thing happened.
All files are moved from the target to the archive and the target is left with nothing but empty folders.
Here is an example of a file after moved to archive:

Could I email you log reports?
Thanks for your help on this. |

Hi, yes, please e-mail the profile logs and the profile file too (.fsf) to support @ tgrmn . com
Are you running 1 profile only or multiple profiles?

Hi, I sent an email with attachments several days ago and have not gotten a rely yet. Maybe it never got through? I just resent another email now.
Thanks. |

Hello Support,
I've emailed support twice and still not heard anything back on this issue.
Several times I have uninstalled and removed all traces of the software that I can find. After reinstall I create a new job, run the task, and I'm getting the same results as before.
I've been praising you guys to no end for several years ... please help! |

Sorry for delay !
I checked the log and your profile file. It's an issue with the profile setup. It is currently setup like this:
- "C:\Main\" <to> "F:\Main_Backup\" (Include Subfolders)
- "C:\Documents and Settings\John\Desktop\" <to> "F:\Main_Backup\" (Include Subfolders)
- "C:\Documents and Settings\John\My Documents\My Music\" <to> "F:\Main_Backup\" (Include Subfolders)
You have 3 folders backing up to the same target "F:\Main_Backup\" and that causes the issue you are seeing. Use a separate target for each folder, for example:
- "C:\Main\" <to> "F:\Main_Backup\Main\" (Include Subfolders)
- "C:\Documents and Settings\John\Desktop\" <to> "F:\Main_Backup\Desktop\" (Include Subfolders)
- "C:\Documents and Settings\John\My Documents\My Music\" <to> "F:\Main_Backup\My Music\" (Include Subfolders)
