Hi,
With built 2504 I'm unable to associate .log files to VVLogViewer app as default program. It seems that Windows doesn't recognize the app as a "valid application to open file". Maybe a dll to register? I think its releated to 64bits edition of Win7 only, ive upgraded a few customer with WinXP 32bits without this issue.
For the moment ive downgrade to built 2501 and its working fine.
Thanks for your support |

Hi, that's strange , VVLogViewer code has not changed between the two releases. I tried on a brand new Windows 7 64bit installation and could not reproduce the issue, as far as I know the installation does not associate .log extension with VVLogViewer, is that an extra step you are doing? When do you get the error message? thanks _________________ --

The "real" problem is that i can't select VVLogViewer.exe as a program to open a specific file type (eg: .log file: right click on the file, open with, browse and select VVLogViewer.exe). Can you try this on your test Win7 with 2504 and 2501?
BTW: I don't have any error message, i just can't add VVLogViewer.exe to "open with"
Thanks for your support again! |

Hi, it works OK on Windows 7 64-bit ultimate with ViceVersa PRO 2.5 build 2504 64-bit. I have right-clicked on a .log file and selected "open with..." and then browsed and selected VVLogViewer. thanks _________________ --
