I want to bi-directional sync 11GB in 4000 files across 1500 folders between 2 PC's.

1. Can VV handle data sets this large?

2. I would not be surprised if the first sync takes a while, but on subsequent syncs where perhaps 20 or 30 files have been created, changed, renamed or deleted, will VV execute "quickly"? Assuming reasonably current PC's over a fast network, what kind of execution time might I expect for these subsequent syncs?

3. In normal bi-directional sync, VV is NOT doing a bit-by-bit deep comparison of files, right? Just file names and file modification date/time-stamps, right?

4. Can I create a single sync "profile" or "job" in which I can specify all the folder pairs (with subfolders) to be addressed and also the specific files to be excluded from the process?

5. And finally, do you support sync using the USB ports?

Thank you. I'm currently a LapLink Gold customer considering a change to VV.

Yes, it should be very quickly only copying changed and new files.

Yes, there are several options, but the default option is to use the modification timestamps.

LapLink offers a special USB cable that lets users connect 2 PC's to one another for sync and it's faster than network communications.

Does ViceVersa support this kind of connection? Do you offer a cable or could I use the one I bought from LapLink?

Hi, please see http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item29.htm
We do not provide the USB-2-USB cable but you should be able to re-use the LapLink cable. We do receommend setting up a small network if possible. thanks
