I've got a Win2k3 server and WinXP PC linked over a VPN with a DSL connection on both ends. I'm Sync'ing 114,750 files(about 50GB) and it is working fine. Most of the files are small and they don't change very often.
The one problem I have is when the job starts, every 6 hours, the source scans in about 1 minute, but the target scan takes almost 2 hours. Is there any way to speed up the Target scanning process??
Thanks |

Currently VV needs to scan the target to check what needs to be updated. In the on of the next releases we are thinking to store the target information locally so it does not require always a full scan. _________________ --

Do you mean installing a client on the remote computer that would check for changes and store them in a local file? If so, that would be a great idea!
P.S.: I think that some customers should be interested to pay for this (like a fee for each remote agent). Cauz if you save time, it worth the $
Keep up good work!

This feature would be very much appreciated - especially when you use the "Mirror" mode for comparison; when you know the target will never change, except by VVPro |

Is this feature included in the latest version of VV? |
