Greetings,
I am trying to move the data off of a server from one location to the next. I have to move approximately 750GB and I have a very small pipe to do it over so it is taking way too long.
I was wondering if I could send an external drive to the remote location, copy all the files to it, ship it back to HQ and put the files up on a server and then use Vice Versa to synch just the changes.
What I am curious about is whether or not this will work. Will the CRC checks work properly since it used date/time as well as the path?
Do you see any potential issues with doing it this way?
Thanks,
Steve |

It will work fine, but make sure the file "modified" timestamp is matching for the files. ViceVersa uses those to decide which file is newer/older. The first time you run VV after the copy via the HD, the files should be all matching. thanks _________________ --
