Hello all,

I'm using Vice Versa Pro to sync my data between 2 pc via a NAS. To do so, I let VVlauncher scan my source (PC HDD) and Target (NAS) every 10 or 15 minutes and on start up. On my laptop this works perfectly, but on my pc no matter what I do, VVlauncher won't start at the startup of win 7. I've checked the checkboxes from the set(tings) of VV launcher to run profile at start up. but this won't work. I've even tried placing a shortcut of the VVlauncher.exe in the startup folder in the startmenu of the taskbar. But even this doesn't do the trick.

When I push het little triangle on the right lower corner on my desktop, in the taskbar and hit 'adjust' (aanpassen in Dutch) I can see that VVlauncher is mentioned, but there is no icon there. When I mannualy start VVLauncher, the green boxed icon will be shown.

An extra check is that my NAS will hybernate after 15 minutes of inactivity and this displayed bij a status LED. This LED remains in the unactive state after i booted en started up my PC, while it should preform a compaire of data...

I'm this close to buy a licence, but this problem needs to be solved before I do. I've no idea what is causing this problem. Perhaps it is something very simple, but Í don't seem to be able the solve it... Any suggestions?

Greeting,
CB

I use Win 7 64 bit
And Vice Versa Pro 2.5 trail version.

Is the user you are logging in under and admin account or guest or other type?

thank you

Hi,

On my pc I have only one useraccount, which is the administrator account. And indeed I am using ViceVersa PRO 2.5 build 2504, on both my laptop and PC

OK, thank you.

Try performing this test please:

- First close VVLauncher if running. Right click on the VVLauncher icon that is on the Windows Taskbar and select "exit". VVLauncher will ask if you want to run it at next start-up answer "No".

- Then start VVLauncher again from the Windows "start" menu. Make sure the VVLauncher icon is now on the Windows Taskbar (close to the clock)

- Open the Windows Task Scheduler: it's in Start - All programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Task Scheduler

- In the Task Scheduler, under Task Scheduler Library, do you see an entry TGRMN Software -> VVLauncher Tasks? Does it have a task named "Start VVLauncher" at start-up? that is the task responsible to start VVLauncher at start-up

thank you

Hi,

Yes the task is there. And it was programmed to be triggered at login of the administrator account, which is, as mentioned, the only account on my PC.

Since the difference on my PC and laptop is that I use a password to login at my laptop, I tried to change the tasktrigger on my PC from logging in to startup. After rebooting my pc I've notcied that VVLauncher did start up at windows 7 start up.

So it seems that we were able to solve my problem. But I will keep an eye on it for the next couple of days to be certain.

Thank you very much!

Regards,
CB
