|
|
About a week ago, my regular overnight profile runs, scheduled with VVScheduler, stopped running, though they all run normally in real time.
I tried re-scheduling them, but that didn't make any difference. If I delete a job and re-create it, though, it works fine. This happenned a couple of years ago and we never did find the reason but, again, overcame it by deleting and re-creating all the jobs.
Some clues:-
No entries appear in the log for the failed runs
The 'Next Run Time' is updated as though the job had run
All failed jobs show a Last Run Result of -2147024629
If I 'Run Task' from the scheduler, the result is the same as above (no log, updated 'Next Time' and same 'Last Run Result'). The job never appears as 'Running'.
OS is Win 7.
After I had the problem last time, I created a task in Outlook to remind me to check that the runs were completing successfully so, luckily, I was able to pick it up before anything crucial got missed or I needed to use the backup.
It would be good to know if there's a way of avoiding the problem, though.

Hello,
Try checking the profile logs, a profile log for a profile can be setup in the ViceVersa profile settings -> execution

Sorry, I don't really understand.
I currently have logging enabled on the Execution tabs and logging for all profiles goes to the same file (which is not emptied and is not limited to summaries and errors). Are you suggesting that I set up separate log files for the individual profiles and that may capture more information?
Thanks,
Mike |

Hi, yes, it's better to use separate profile logs without clearing them to check if / why ViceVersa is failing. thanks _________________ --
