|
|
I have a source folder with say 2500 files in it, and a target folder with say 4000 files in it (2500 of which came from my source folder). In my target folder I want to ensure the 2500 files are exactly as they are in my source folder, EVEN IF THEY WERE NEWER! But I do not want to delete/modify the other 1500 files in the target. The files I want to update have various extensions, some are the same as the 1500 files I do not want to update.
How might I achieve this now?
Or is this a new option (Replication - Forced Update)?
Or maybe you could allow the checkbox "OverWrite target even if they are newer" on existing Replication options? |

You are right, in MOST cases the update option would work. BUT in my case I have newer files in the target; yet I still want to overwrite them with my source files. How do I achieve that?
Basically my source files are being distributed across a lot of machines and we want to ensure they are 100% consistent. |

Hi,
there's the option "Replace newer target files with older source files". For the Backup method you can instruct ViceVersa to overwrite target files with source files even if target files are newer. This is also called 'to force' the target. the option is in profile settings ->advanced settings, but I believe is only available for the backup method _________________ --
