I'm unable to get a scheduled task to run at a set time on our server although it is set to run as the Domain Administrator. The log entry below says there is a "Logon failure". I was logged in as the Domain Administrator when I created the scheduled task and I've set the "Run as" the Domain Administrator and password okay.
Could anyone suggest what else I might need to do.
--------------------------------------------------
"_viceversapr2_task_ZDrive.job" (ViceVersa.exe) 13/12/2005 5:00:00 AM ** ERROR **
The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task failed, therefore, the task did not run.
The specific error is:
0x80070569: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.
Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try again.

--------------------------------------------------

Thanks
Mark

A Google search for 0x80070569

shows some interesting results.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. The KB article related to NT and didn't really apply to Win Server 2003.

I found the cause of the problem was that the Scheduled job was set to run as Domain\Administrator and the target drive only had permissions for Local\Administator.

You wouldn't have thought this would have mattered, but it may have been someting to do with the target drive just being an attached USNB drive ... who knows? Anyway, when I added Domain\Administrator permssions to the target drive it fixed it.
