I am a new user of ViceVersa. I backed up a set of about 180GB to an external harddrive using basic backup mirror source target (matching two folder pairs). The backup ran fine and quickly. However, i then deleted something on the source file and set the backup to rerun ... it compared all the files but on execute basically stopped working; a file of a few bytes was taking 5-10 seconds to process ... and would therefore take days to process the 50MB I deleted. I then went into the target folder and deleted it manually and set the backup to run again. Same problem. The file I deleted was a corrupted Thunderbird email folder, so that may have something to do with it but I am not sure how. Now the folder is deleted manually on both drives but the backup process is still ridiculously slow. THere is obviously something wrong here as the way it is now the program is unusable. I only purchased this yesterday and had high hopes it would solve my backup headaches. I hope somebody can offer some advice. Many thanks for reading this post. |

Hi, try disabling sending files to the recycle bin when deleting, the option is in the main ViceVersa window menu -> view -> preferences
thanks _________________ --
