I have 2 external drives that I back up to. The back up was only taking about 2 hours to run for my entire system from a job that was created years ago. A new job/profile was created and used to run the backup doing the same data and it took over 30 hours going the same external drive as the previous job. When the system saves information for replication compare is it by job/profile so I need to make sure the same job is run each day. Therefore it will not take so long by updating everything?
Since the back up is still running I can not go into job/profile to compare but I believe both were set at replication update |

Hello,
please check the settings in profile settings -> performance, make sure the process priority is not set to IDLE. If set to IDLE, ViceVersa will slow down when other applications are running, which may be useful in certain cases, when running the job transparently in the background.

thank you for response.
I discovered what caused the back up to take so long. The person that set up the initial back up had the data going to a folder with a different name than the folder that the new back up is going to. Therefore all data is being written since it did not exist before in the folder that is being backed up to. I'm expecting tonights backup to be much faster. |
