Mirror Copying 550 GB

I am setting up a new backup and archive system for my photo files. I have 550 GB of files to copy via USB from one external HD to another. I've been evaluating VV Pro and it seems that it will take days to mirror copy the 550 GB. Any suggestions.
BTW I am on a windows 7 machine.

Hello,

the initial copy will take long, but after that, only changed files are copied each time and that should be pretty fast.

Should I set it up to execute at less than normal so I can continue to use my computer?

Yes, set the process priority to "IDLE" in profile settings -> performance
