I have 3 profiles set to run during the night hours. They do not start when set. When I open VVEngine in the mornings to check the runs, they start running.
The profiles are all set to UNC paths. Should I set them to the IP address of the target NAS?
VVEngine is running on a Windows 2008R2 Server.
Thanks.

Hello,

Did you setup VVEngine to run as a service?
See http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item48.htm

If you did not and you log out the server, VVEngine stops when you logout and restarts when you login again.

thanks

Installing VVEngine as a service seems to have fixed it (based on one night of backing up without a problem). [Windows Server 2008.]

It worked fine before (on Windows Server 2003) without adding it as a service.

Should VVEngine also be added as a service on a desktop/laptop?

Usually on a desktops / laptops is not needed to install as service.
