Hi,

I am interested in using VVPro to setup real time syncing between two networked servers. I have tried the evaluation version to get myself familiar with the software. During my testing I noticed that open files would not sync due to "File in use by another application or user" error. I managed to solve this issue by enabling the VSS feature.

My problem is that VSS is limited, from my understanding, to the fact that the folder using VSS needs to be local.

My setup would look something like this:

Server A w/ VVPro installed (Source) syncing with Server B (Target)

My question is if a file is changed on Server B and remains open will it be able to sync with Server A when the profile is run or will I get a "File in use by another application or user" error? I know that with VSS there is no issues if the change is made on Server A and synced to Server B. My concern is the other way around.

I basically am trying have it where if a change is made on one server it will be correctly synced on the other server without error.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

To use VSS you'd need to install ViceVersa on Server B and sync from the vs Server A. So you would need to have ViceVersa on Server A syncing with Server B and ViceVersa on Server B syncing with Server A.

thanks
