When will the new version be available?

In the meantime, what are my options? The profile with \\?\ won't even run in VVLauncher.

Thanks

I too am having the same issue with the VVEngine not finding the source/target when using the UNC.
Any estimates on the next release and fix?
Thanks.

Hi,

Any idea when long path names will be supported in VVEngine.
Already have more than 200 files which will not be backupped on disk now.
What is an easy way to backup these files now?

Does VVengine work if you do not monitor file for changes in the schedule, or it nevers works with the \\?\ prefix?

Is there still not fix availabe for using \\?\ in VV Engine? I just ran across this post and noticed that this is 3 years old but I still cannot seem to get this to work in VV Engine.

Just upgraded to get over 255 char limit.

However I get the error "Path with more than 259 characters. Cannot create or replace ......."

Guess it is more than 255 characters, but is this correct?

ps

Upgraded? As far as I know there has still not been a fix implemented yet. I really need this taken care of. Love the software other than this issue.

Hello

We are working on this one now and will release a fix very soon.

In order to exactly reproduce the problem you are seeing, can you let us know which scheduling settings you are using in VVEngine and what are the source and target paths?

thank you

I am running every 15 minutes and only if changes are detected in the source. Both of my source and target path are local paths (c:\users, d:\data, etc.).

Up to this point, when I had this issue come up, I would just run the profile from within VV Pro and use the \\?\ with the path to resolve the error.

Thank you. Just to clarify, what error message do you get if you use the \\?\ prefix in VVEngine?
