I want to make sure I'm setting Vice Versa up correctly. I'm on windows XP SP3, I have a purchased copy of VV Pro 2.

I have two computers I'm backing up to an external drive.

\\computername\directory1 - is a directory on a 2nd network attached computer
c:\directory2 - is a root level directory on drive C
f:\ - is a 2nd drive with all my personal data files (documents, music, downloads, etc)

e: is my external USB drive.

I want to backup all three directories to drive e: So I have the following configuration in VV.

\\computername\directory1 <to> f:\directory1
c:\directory2 <to> f:\directory2
f:\ <to> e:\

These are all in the same profile. What I want to confirm is that when the profile executes, that directory1 and directory2 are FIRST completely sync'd with drive F, THEN drive F gets sync'd with drive e. Or do I need to have two profiles executing one after another (one with the first two sync's, then a second sync f: to e:.

Thanks in advance for your answer...
Jeff...

Hi, source/target pairs in the same profile are first scanned and then files are copied (or deleted) as needed. So in your setup I would create a different profile for f:\ <to> e:\ to catch the changes applied from the first 2 pairs. I do not know if you purchased it, but with VVEngine you can run multiple profiles sequentially: http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm

thanks
