Here's one for the books.

I can use VV to move .mpg video files from my USB drive to my Thecus NAS drive but when I try to move an .avi on the very same USB drive it says: "cannot change attributes of "file name" access is denied.

Tried using windows copy and paste and it works perfectly. Tried moving the original .avi file to another USB drive and VV still will not copy it from there.

I can move the .avi's from one USB to another with VV but it still will not put them on the Thecus NAS even from that drive.

I can use VV to move the same .avi files to my Western Digital MyBook NAS. That works fine.

Can there be something about the Thecus that is preventing VV from moving a particular file to it or is VV at fault, here?

Any suggestions?
