Hello,

We've 2 Server 2003 x64 in a workgroup and I want to backup the files with NTFS permissions. So I created a profile with the checkmark "Copy permissions, security attributes and streams (NTFS only) on.

The problem is that nu NTFS permissions are copied. The users are the same on both servers with the same passwords.

What could be the problem?

Kind regards

No the the target does not have the same persmissions at the start.

This is not needed for robocopy for example. Is it needed for Viceversa?

I changed the permissions so that the root permission are exactly the same. Still the permissions in the subfolders weren't copied.

So for instance the folder D:\extern will be copied to \\10.0.0.33\extern and have both exact the same permission won't work at the moment.
