Hallo everybody,
I am looking for a software that will mirror two raid 5 arrays. I know belts and braces, but I think this will give me the best data security against data loss. I have read the infos on VV and it`s impressive, what I am not sure about though is can it mirror simultaneously ? Windows 7 has a mirroring option but it will not mirror two raids.
Thank you for you time

What I mean by simultaneously, is that when a file is copied to drive A it will simultaneously be copied to drive B, by the same token when a file is deleted from drive A it will be deleted from drive B. |

Ok thanks for the info ,
i do have another question if you are so kind.
What would happen if a computer on network had the wrong date opened a file and saved it under another name, deletes the original and changes the name of the file it saved to the name of the original ? |

yes, during sync the file is identified as conflict and must be reconciled manually, during backup / replication if it's in source the file is not copied to target (warning given) if in target, it's overwritten with the corresponding source file.

That's strange, what anti-virus are you using?
You can try using this online scanner virustotal.com , it uses multiple engines to scan files.

I`m using Anivir, and up until now it has not let me down.
Anyway compare and merge is ( I should have read properly ) a Text programme, i`m looking for a programme for .doc or .rtf etc. Ok I could use word but it`s to big and rather more complicated for my needs.
vica verca is working fine.
thanks
